There was a very exclusive gym where we used to live. There was no way I could afford their prices. But I really wanted to go there. So, I approached them with the idea that I would babysit in their childcare room on Saturday afternoons for a few hours in exchange for full membership priveledges. They jumped at the idea!

Having a bag ready to go to the gym makes the trip fast and easy. Stuff it with everything you might use- empty water bottle, gym sneakers, clean socks, workout clothes... stuff to shower with.... head phones/iPod.... Just seeing the bag on the floor inthe laundry room reminds me to get to the gym
I went out and purchased travel sized shampoos, soaps, some makeup.... for showering at the gym. I packed my gym clothes and swith them out after each trip... towel and swim suit... I have two pairs of sneakers- one for outside and one for the gym (gym shoes are in the bag)... cuts a lot of time
Goal setting as far as exercising goes really seems to get the job done. Settinh specific detailed goals as far as my wokout goes helps me to stay focus and not get off track will in the gym. For example I set a goal to burn 500 calories in he gym 5 to 6 days a week, weight training 2 days.
During this keeps me focus on the tadsk at hand I know I can't leave the gym before buning my 500 calories. I use resistance bands in the gym and at home as well using the gym equipment for wieght training. On wieght training days I go back to gym at 9 pm at night for this this. Day time is cardio

If you're a member of a gym, ask for a buddy pass to help get your friend started. The gym will usually issue your friend a free one week pass. Usually at the end of the month your local gym will have great deals on memberships, so help your friend get started and they'll help you to keep going!!
