Cooking in bulk is a real time saver. Place up to 8 oz of your cooled hotdishes in snack-size bags, placing 3-4 bags in one labeled quart-size freezer bag, for later enjoyment. Small packages thaw overnight in the refrigerator, allowing you to vary your healthy eating for maximum nutrition.

I like to buy in bulk like burger meat or stew meat I unpack the meat and repack in ziplock bags most bags are filled with just the meat I will be cooking as I am alone I do not waste and by laying the bags flat I save space and defrosting is fast
Buying snack items in bulk rather than pre-packaged 100 calorie sizes is cheaper and can be healthier. The trick though is to make sure you divide your snacks into snack bags or small containers when you get home from the store. Get out your food scale or measuring cups for the most accurate amounts. You can mix your favorite snacks together. Craisins and almonds or cereal are wonderful and make great snacks. It is important that you divide the bulk items or you might be tempted to snack from the bag!
