Many times when you go to the "Big Centres", i.e. costco, you do not want to buy 4 dish soaps (cost and space). However, if you plan to buy with another family and share the 4 with another family you can save money. The same goes with making for example lasagna in bulk and sharing the cost with another family saves money. It also is fun cooking with someone else!

We split the cost of the membership too!! Most of these places give 2 cards for 1 membership price. We also discourage each other from spending frivously! Works out well & have fun too!!
My sisters and I will often buy bulk items and split it and the cost between us, 10 pounds of potatoes would be much too much for just DH and I. But split 4 ways it's just enough. When one of us sees a bargain, we'll call the others to see if they need or want to share.
