Sweep the patio instead of using the blower, sweep the kitchen instead of using the vacuum, wash dishes by hand instead of using the dishwasher, cook from scratch. All these things will burn more calories and are good for the environment too!
I know, I sound crazy. Just read more. While you are doing the dishes, sometimes opt out of using the dishwasher, walk or jog in place. It is totally doable since not a lot of motion is required, just up and down. You can wash dishes and get in a quick 5 minute walk or jog. This way you can free up a few minutes to do something else.
I've used my dishwasher twice in 10 years. It came with our home. The previous owner kept records of what he spent on electricity. We spend less than half. Takes time, but I listen to NPR or music and it is relaxing. I also keep all appliances not in use unplugged until needed. This saves
