When I feel like I really want a Coke or other treat, or like it just doesn't matter or nothing's working, I try to put it in perspective. I ask myself, "Is this treat really worth so much to me right now that it's worth not meeting my current goal?"
Really puts it in perspective when you think about having your Coke vs. fitting into a wedding dress or swimsuit, having the ice cream vs. keeping your sugar/cholesterol down, etc.
If we see the exact same event from a different perspective we will see an entirely different event. We cannot control the wind... but we CAN control our sail as it catches the wind.
