Doughnut or healthy cereal? Ask yourself and wait for the answer before choosing. Today, I chose cereal because I really want to see a lower number on the scale this week. Then I waited for that inner voice. When the inner voice agrees, the choice is a lot easier and happier!

Whenever you’re considering making an unnecessary purchase, wait thirty days and then ask yourself if you still want that item. Quite often, you’ll find that the urge to buy has passed and you’ll have saved yourself some money by simply waiting.
Ask yourself if you are truly happy with yourself, if the answer is no then it is time to change things.
I was so miserable being overweight that any discomfort I felt changeling my eating patterns did not compare to what i had been feeling. And using Sparkpeople was not miserable at all.
When I really want to snack, I ask myself to wait 10 more minutes. If I still want it, I can have it. But then I ask myself, can I wait 10 more minutes? It becomes a game/test. I did it recently on a 3 hour drive and kept doing 10 more, just 10 more, until I made it home.
