When making lasagna you do NOT have to boil the noodles first. And you do not have to use the special no boil noodles. I've used white and whole wheat pasta. Both work just fine. All you have to do is layer like normal. Cuts down on prep and clean up time.

I've done this for years, I never soak the noodles I just add a little extra sauce the lasagna always comes out great.

That is exactly what I do. I soak my noodles in hot water while I prepare the rest of my dish. The noodles really come out perfect and quicker too.

I made a great lasagna last night and just placed the regular noodles in hot water for 15 minutes while I made the other part of the recipe. Came out perfect!
