As soon as they are out of the crib, start training your child (or grandchild) to make the bed. Praise their efforts, don't go behind them and "fix" it. Children should do what they are able to do, and they can help around the house.
If they grow up having chores and doing chores, it becomes their normal. Saves lots of stress later on for parents and the children.

When putting your kids laundry away put together their outfits for the next week (or so) and put in a spot designated for them. So with younger kids you can just grab and dress them and older kids know where and what they need to put on.
