Put a calendar on your fridge to track your goals. After dinner, colour in that day's square if you've kept to your diet / fitness goals. If not, leave that day blank.
If you're really brave (I'm not!!), you can colour 'good' days green, and 'bad' days red.

Hang a calender on the fridge and colour in each day you workout with a highlighter. Choose your favourite colour and make it a goal to colour in as much of the calender as you can!
I chose a different color for each child from birth. Then I always knew that the cup, toothbrush, sheets, towels, placemat, coats, other clothing etc were quickly identified by the colour (for clothing it was either part or wholly that colour, or tagged with the appropriate colour)

Also works great in day care settings or with individuals with disabilities, dementia and elderly, just choose their favourite colour and choose different shades for multiple favourites, ie. frosty pink, pale pink, rose pink, fuscia, pinky mauve, etc.
I like to use a calendar to map out my goals, whether short-term ones or the long term one, and I use colored pencils and even stickers on it. It's just a fun visual thing to do. ( I found a web-site where you can print a calendar page for each month with very little ink, any month you want.)
