Yesterday I had a green salad with chicken. I decided to try something I had read about usinjg salsa for salad dressing. I used Pace Medium Picante Sauce. It was so good that way! 2 tablespoons only has 10 calories, so I used 3 tbsp for a total of 15 calories. It was spicy and added zing to my salad. It's a great way to eliminate higher calorie salad dressings and add some excitement to those veggies!

I substiute salsa for salad dressing alot of days. 2 Tbsp of Salsa only has about 15 calories. This is 25% the calories found in many fat-free varieties of dressing and an even smaller fraction of the calories in regular dressing. Fewer to no additives either depending on the type you buy.
When I fix a big salad have found using Salsa works great. I always prefer salsa with taco salad, why not any salad, and the best part is fat free, low calories and you can use more salsa than any salad dressing. And to tweak I add a couple of tablespoons of Balsamic Vinegar. 4
