How Many Calories?

Members Were Sparked
This Sparked Me!

I'm fairly active. I'm not training for the olympics, but I do have a job that requires me to be on my feet for my whole shift, walking most of it and often lifting boxes up to 30 lbs, sometimes over my head, even. How many calories do I really need??? I'd get little red messages on my fitness page to tell me I need to eat more, but it gave no indication of how much more. I searched and remembered, time to recalculate my BMR. A little reminder to me and to all, don't forget to recalculate,

once in a while. Maybe like changing the batteries on your smoke alarm, twice a year.

Simply find an online BMR calculator. I entered my number of calories as my maximum caloric allowance on my nutrition page here, and as I want to lose weight, I subtracted 1,000 for my minimum. (2 lb / week)

Thank you for sharing this bit of info. One day I was told I needed to eat more. Turns out that was because I hadn't inputted all my food. It made me wonder and you have supplied the answer before the situation actually came up. Thanx!
