Start a new healthy habit by picking one small step that you cannot fail at. That way you are starting with success and you can build from there. For example, if you wanted to stop drinking soft drinks, tell yourself you will switch from a large size to a medium.

That is a small step and one that you are likely to succeed with. The positive feeling of success will help you set the next small step.
