If you are having difficulty getting over regular soda and want to switch to diet soda but can't stomach the flavor try filling most of your glass with diet and topping it off with the real stuff. It gives it the flavor of regular but for a fraction of the calories.

If you are at a fast food place and really really want the root beer ...fill up most of it with diet Coke (or Pepsi) and top it off with the root beer. It will taste exactly like root beer and again for a fraction of the calories.

This isn't uncommon. I ask for "half and half" coke when I go out and most places know that means half diet and half regular. That's how I started, then went to 3/4 diet and now i'm used to the taste of diet drinks and don't need to use this trick anymore.

I love soda. Sometimes i have periods where i don't drink soda then i do again. So how i always stop is to make a huge glass of water, then take a soda and at a meal, for every sip of soda i have i have a bigger drink of water. That gets me at the point where i stop drinking soda. 30
