At work, I have a container where I keep mustard & other sauce packets. Sometimes I have imitation crab as my protein for breakfast & I use the Taco Bell packet (example) as a way to add flavor to an otherwise somewhat dry food.

Save Money by Switching to the Big Box of Quaker Oats!
Where I live the boxes of flavored oatmeal packets are close to $4.00 per box, with 8 packet servings. The Large round box of Quick Quaker Oats is ALSO $4.00, but there are 30 servings of the same size. Just add your own fruit, or cinnamon and it cooks almost as quickly. You don't need all the ADDITIVES in the flavored packets, either, so there's savings in both money and health!
If you're having trouble meeting that 8 cups a day goal for water consumption, don't be afraid to add a little flavor. Flavoring packets, if chosen carefully, make it so much easier to drink lots and lots of water on a daily basis without adding many calories or sodium. I prefer the Crystal Light Fruit Punch packets myself - tastes just like Koolaid!
Now a days you can find zero-calorie, zero carb, zero sodium flavor packets for your water. I buy a variety of packets (even vitamin enhanced ones for a boost of energy) and drink, drink, drink while I'm at work. This also helps when it's time for my workout because I don't feel run-down and dried out. I'm fresh, full of energy and ready to go!!!
