Ground flaxseed and cinnamon will help lower your blood sugar and your triglycerides. Try a daily breakfast shake with oatmeal, flaxseed, cinnamon, fruit (banana, apple, papaya, whatever) , water and skim milk in the blender. Tastes good and will definitely lower your numbers!

Flaxseeds do help the body feel full. They also promote good colon health. Flaxseeds arerich in omega-3 and -6 fatty acids..these speed up metabolism and can even help your heart and arteries. Yep every Dieter and diabetic should be taking flaxseed oil or ground flaxseeds. Use on salads, oatmreal, grits, protein shakes, veggies...etc. There is no real taste just benefits. Some say a nutty flavor..I don't taste it.
For a light and filling lunch, I like to shred an apple with a few chopped walnuts. Stir in yogurt, cinnamon, and whatever sweeting you like . Oh, and flax seed. Really delicious. And the nuts, cinnamon, and flaxseed are all good for your health
