Being owned by two dogs who need to be walked rain or shine, gives me no other option but to get off the couch and outside for a walk. Since I'm already out there, I might as well make it worth my while to go the distance. It's a great way to keep me fit. I vary the length and the speed of the walk to work up a sweat, and by varying the route, the walks are never boring. Aside from that, no matter how bad my day has been, their unconditional love always makes my day.
The benefits of owning a dog are that aside from giving unconditional love, they get you off the couch. All you need is walking shoes. A drawback is that they do cost money to feed and house, and they're not good additions if one travels a lot, or generally doesn't have time to take care of them.

If you have a dog and a cat before you take your dog on a walk put the leash on it gets the dog all excited knowing that they are going to go on a walk and the cats run are chasing the leash until it is time to go 246
getting a dog was one of the best things i did to help me exercise more because even if i cant be bothered to exercise i know that at least 3 times a day my little fella needs his walkies so i always end up walking at least 1 hour a day 30
