I drink between 1/2 to 3/4 cup of 100% grapefruit juice before breakfast and lunch every day. Not only does it have vitamin c, but it is full of filling fiber that helps me eat less during my meal and keep me regular.

When I first started drinking grapefruit juice in the morning...I HATED it. It was oh, so sour, and I thought I would never drink it again. But I shut my eye, opened my mouth, and chugged it down. And I did it the next day, and the next, and so on, until my first bottle was empty. Over time, I realized I LOVE grapefruit juice.... (continued)
If on first taste you can't stand a food, look at it like necessary medicine for being well and eat/drink it anyway. Try it for a week (lol doctor's orders!)...then you'll REALLY know whether you genuinely like or dislike a healthy food.
I eat a LOT of cabbage soup, and skip the rice, but eat a piece of protien (feel free to checkout my recipe for it). Sure, it may not be negative cal, but you get the fiber, and it gets you the veggies you need in the day. You can add spices to make your taste buds jumpin, and to decrease that calorie count ;)
One more thing-- I am the type of person who MUST drink something with my lunch/dinner-- to add to the kick of the soup, try concentrated grapefruit juice (or, better yet, try the actual fruit) since it increases your metabolism, too!
