Brew Your Own Coffee

I used to be a Starbucks fanatic- seriously every day I would buy a tall white mocha. I bought a coffee grinder for about 17 bucks, inexpensive coffee beans (sometimes Starbucks brand) but from a store other than Starbucks, then buy the International Vanilla creme. It's delicious and I save money and it's only 30 calories per tablespoon.

  • @Tedybear2838- I'm so happy you resisted the cappuccino at 7/11. They have tons of sugar. - by CHAYA22

We actually "splurge" a bit and buy flavored coffees that we both love - gives us some variety in our coffee, and helps us miss Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts even less ;) - by DENISE.PG
  • Starbucks is just a treat for me - maybe 4 times a year. What she suggested can happen in my life more often!

  • That is such an excellent tip. I buy coffee out more than I should. The sugar, calories, etc are terrible and the $'s spent could be spent otherwise. I had a victory today, I wanted a Cappuccino from 7-11 SO BAD. But I resisted, made my flavored coffee at home and I'll get the sugar free creamer when I go to the grocery store later today.
