To get the most from your stretching, never bounce or pulse. That will actually trigger a reflex in the muscle to tighten up more! Hold the stretch statically for at least 15 seconds. Breathe deeply through the nose and as you exhale, mentally direct your breath to the areas you feel tension.

I have incorporated stretching into my daily route of cleaning. When I go to make the beds I place my legs one at a time up on our bed and stretch. As I go through the day I stretch while doing my daily chores, when vacuuming I stretch my sides, reach for the stars or cob webs! Be creative STRETCH!
