When I make a smoothie, I always end up making more than enough. So I get the extra smoothie and put it in ice cube trays then freeze it. Later, when I'm ready for a smoothie, I just throw those cubes into the blender to make it quick and easy.

When you will not be able to use all the milk before it spoils, freeze in ice cube trays or in something that will allow you to easily break it up. Use in place of ice in smoothies, shakes & other recipes that call for ice cubes. Can also be used to keep a glass of milk cold. 466
