I have a gas stove with a metal grid on top. There is a separate grid for a wok. It recently broke. I didn't think it should, being made out of metal. I looked up the part on line and found it for $68. I called the Manufacturer to ask if there were any recalls. They said " No, but we have the part".The rep then said the part was $125. I said " No thanks, I found it online for $68" I was then told that because I was " such a valuable customer" they would give me the part for a discount that in
the end ( shipping and handling) came to about $65. If I hadn't spent a minute or two on the internet doing research I might have wasted a lot of money. Don't be afraid to ask if the part might be faulty or to mention that you have found a cheaper price it's not rude it's just being a smart .
