Drink a cup (or a half cup) of V8 juice before your meal!! It will help fill you up, so you do not eat as much!! I have read about eating soup before a meal, but most soups have more calories than I like. V8 only has 50 calories in a cup (25 in a half cup) and you are getting some veggies too!!

I love V8 juice........ and it does have lots of salt...... but I found one with less salt... I drink it daily....

I like this idea. It is helpful, the only thing that I would worry about with this is the intake of sodium because V8 is generally loaded with it, you could see if your local grocer carries the lower sodium choice...in the town I grew up in, finding something like that was a joke, so if you can't, you might try cutting it to about half a V8 and at least one 8oz glass of water. Personally, I like drinking a couple glasses full of water 15-30 minutes before dinner, if I'm at a restaurant, I'll be sure to drink at least one full glass of water before I order and another as I am waiting on my food. This helps curb the extra calorie intake as well as helps you think with your brain instead of your hunger. Have a blessed day!

I wonder if it would work better if you do it 15 minutes before your meal since it takes 20 minutes for your stomach to tell your brain that you are full/satisfied? I'm going to give it a shot.
