When I know ahead of time I am going to eat out and the restaurant I am going to, I look up that restaurant online and look for healthy options. If they have nutritional information available online I add it to the nutrition tracker. That way when I go out I know what I want and it is already tracked and I don't have to worry about what to get to stay in my calorie range. I can then focus on having a good time and enjoying my meal.

each time you track a food make sure you clikc the my favorites key, overtime you will find foods that you normally eat. Then when you track the food for the day use the myfavorites, it is much faster than looking each food up each day.
Overtime you will have most of the foods entered into your favorites and it is much faster in using the nutrition tracker.

Even if you only use it for a week it really helps you realize where your problem foods come in. You'd be surprised that the most calories could be coming from a food that you eat regularly because you think its relativly healthy. And it will tell you where you have room to improve.
