Since most receipts are printed on thermal paper (and the ink will dissipate over time), we scan our important receipts into the computer and save it as a .pdf document right away. Then, if we need to use the warranty, we can produce a legible copy along with the original receipt that was stapled into the owner's manual.

Where to find the Warrenty Paper Purchase Receipts
Now a days you get a receipt that has the warranty right on it. I found a way not to lose those. I use one of those clear plastic baseball card holders and in each spot for a card is a receipt of an item. I use labels to note what the receipt is for, then put it in a manilla folder marked Warrenty

I also have a separate drawer that I keep all warranty files in plus all the papers that come with purchases. I place the paperwork in clear full size plastic holders and mark what the product is on the front then organize them in alphabetical order I always know where to find the manual to my items
We have a small metal file box, (but one could use an accordion file) where we file the warranty papers. I staple the original receipt in the front of the warranty book. If there is any question, we have the date of purchase, etc. all together.
