I paid about $80 on sale for a bun 10-cup coffee maker. We have the professional Bun 2 pot coffee maker at the church and it is fast and wonderful. I was tired of my old one & bought this expensive one. It overflows when you use more than 6 spoons of coffee with the full pot. If I make it with 8 cups and just under the 6 spoons, it's ok, but when I have company & want more, I have a huge mess every time.
I had a DeLonghi before this that made coffee and espresso. I'm now of the opinion that the cheaper, regular coffee makers are the way to go. The espresso stopped coming through and eventually the milk frother stopped working too! Plain, inexpensive coffee makers are just fine.
Just sprinkle a little cinnamon, or pumpkin spice over the grounds before you start the coffee maker. Your coffee will taste great. I do it with ground decaf coffee. It really saves money over the coffee shop coffee.
Vinegar is a wonderful all-purpose cleaner and deodorizer. Yes, it stinks, but it's much cheaper than store-bought cleaners and, even better, no chemicals. Some of my favorite uses for it:
--I put it in a spray bottle and clean counters with it --deodorizes stinky fridges and plastic food containers --dissolves lime build-up in a coffee maker --if you have guinea pigs or other small animals, it will dissolve the calcified urine from the cage and clean it safely with no chemicles! :)
