Last week, my new bike arrived and a friend helped me assemble it. Recumbent bikes are those you can sit comfortably and pedal. I had an upright one, but after an hour, it put a strain on my back and wasn't all that inviting anymore. I absolutely love this new bike. Sturdy, quiet, challenging. However, I forgot to pay attention to size. It does matter because my place is small. So what if living room looks like a gym! (smiling)

I started my weight loss challenge weighing 333.6lb. I decided to buy a recumbent exercise bike to help me lose weight. At first I could barely complete 10 mins, but in just 2 weeks I can now ride 11 miles in 30 minutes.

Exercising naturally helps me get the water drinking up
In the past, I was not much interested in drinking water or in exercising. Over the first six months on SparkPeople.com tracking, I found I was much more apt to be getting in the suggested number of cups of water, on the days I exercised, whether the exercise was walking or using my recumbent bike. Somehow, I have locked these two health ideas together! This is not my own original idea, because the concept is pure logic and has been recommended by others.
