If every night you would go around your house and unplug every electronic item, like your computer, the power strips that your TV is connected to, the cell phone charger etc. you would see a huge reduction in your power bill.
I unplugged every lamp, treadmill, my hair roller iron, computers the auto coffee maker, my blender, even a clock radio that isn't going to wake me in the AM, my stereo system in my house when I am not using them and I saved $47.00 on my power bill in one month.

More Information:

This is one way we, as a nation, can cut down on the amount of power/money we use. I told our school system they should shut down/ cut off all their computers at night and they actually followed through with it and are saving a tremendous amount on the power bill. See if your school system does it
