Turn Off Electronics At Night And When They Are Not In Actual Use Mode
Members Were Sparked
If every night you would go around your house and unplug every electronic item, like your computer, the power strips that your TV is connected to, the cell phone charger etc. you would see a huge reduction in your power bill. I unplugged every lamp, treadmill, my hair roller iron, computers the auto coffee maker, my blender, even a clock radio that isn't going to wake me in the AM, my stereo system in my house when I am not using them and I saved $47.00 on my power bill in one month.
This is one way we, as a nation, can cut down on the amount of power/money we use. I told our school system they should shut down/ cut off all their computers at night and they actually followed through with it and are saving a tremendous amount on the power bill. See if your school system does it

I use this idea all the "time"![pun intended!]. I have more than one watch and when I'm not wearing the others, I pull "the pin" mechanism on the side to stop the time [as I am not wearing the watch, I don't wish to run the batteries down]. Then ,if I switch watches for the next day, I'll pull the pin on the watch I WAS wearing. And I remember right BEFORE putting the watch on to reset it to the proper time. This may seem like an inconvenient thing to do,but I've found it saves the batteries..
...and makes them last longer! I also turn "off" my watch at night!
