We all receive change if we are using cash daily. At the end of the day throw all your change in a jar to save for next year's gasoline when you go on vacation. I saved over $1000 in a year

More Information:

You can also save all of your state quarters only. We have been doing this for 4 years and have over $1000 in state quarters saved, we are saving them for when we retire in 5 years and hope to have enough to take a trip to visit family with them.

  • My dh and I did this all the time, we even had seperate jars to see who had the most by the time vacation came around. Now that he passed I still do it, never have change in my purse, lol. - by ANUT4DISNEY
  • Although I did not have tapes when my girls were small, I did have music and got them dancing and exercising with me when they were small. When they were teenagers, I had them exercising with me with Jane Fonda tapes and all. We also went out on walks and jogged together. - by YICHE12

That's great! I do that too & it adds up. Every time I use a coupon or get money back from an offer that I mailed in, I put that money in the jar as well. - by TAHITIBLOSSOM
  • My boyfriend and I do this constantly, and we also throw in any random 1 dollar bills we happen to find! We call it our "vacation fund" and it's starting to add up! - by TOPFLIGHTSPARK
