If you have a package of mushrooms that's almost too old to use, sauté them in 1/2 Tbl of butter with 1 chopped onion. When they're almost done, add 1 Tbl white wine, and cook until all the liquid is absorbed. Repeat wine addition 1-2 times until mushrooms seem to have absorbed all they will take. Really good as a topping for meats.
When doing strength training, I find I can begin to get frustrated when I'm counting reps, particularly on the third set. The solution for me is to count down instead of up. I start with 10, 12, or whatever my top count is and count down to one. Then I get more excited as I go bc I'm almost done.
So I sautee vegetables at least once a day... and recently I've been adding a splash of apple juice to the mix when the veggies are almost done. It sounds weird, but letting the juice caramelize leaves your vegetables tasting even more delightful! 210 + 478 = 4
