Keep youself busy, don't spend all your time thinking about food. I plan out my next day's menu the night before and prepare what I can. I simply know what I am going to eat and therefore do not have to worry about it. Plan ahead. Do something that's not all about you.
I find that if I have a variety, something crunch, celery or cucumbers or mini carrots give me the crunch I need. I eat fruit in season and it helps with sweet cravings. I add cottage cheese and diced apples to my salad instead of dressing. I boil a dozen eggs at a time to have them when I need.
