Whenever I'm going to be away from home for a long time, I always bring my own snacks. It can be something simple, like a piece of string cheese, or a serving of almonds, to a whole meal, like a sandwich made with turkey and ww bread. This way, I don't have to stop anywhere to grab a bite, and I'm in control of what I eat.
