Bringing my own lunch to work saves money. I could put it in the fridge at work, but that would mean being tempted by muffins and danishes that are left out from morning meetings. I prefer to pack my lunch in a bag with an ice pack - that way I stay away from the temptations, and my morning and afternoon snacks are handier when I'm really busy.

I pack my lunch to take to work every day. I have my mini frozen meals in the freezer. They are really just leftovers from the nutritious meals I have cooked at home. This week I ate fiesta soup, black beans & rice and lasagna casserole. I pack some veggies, a piece of fruit, and a treat to go with my entree. The treat could be a few animal crackers or a cup of low cal pudding, etc. Usually about 350-450 calories for lunch for me.
I have an insulated lunch bag and the frozen entree keeps the rest of my lunch cold til noon.
I only buy used books. Every year our community has a used book sale. I get there early to look for the books on my list for $1.00 or $2.00. Then I go back on the last day and fill a bag with books at the reduced price of $5.00 a bag.
After I read them I donate them back. The money raised goes to charity.
