I did a few little things around the office--moved the printer into another room, moved the fax machine farther away. Instead of the staff bringing me my paper work I get up and get it as soon as I print. I also stopped using the intercom. If I want to speak with someone, I get up a go to their office. It made some of the staff nervous having the boss come in all the time, but it has added 1500 steps to my day, on a slow day! I also use a head set and walk back and forth during conference calls.

As well as you can, eat well and get some exercise! It could save your life or the lives of others around you. Mid morning or afternoon fatigue is caused by insulin spikes through the day. Small portions, more often of protein and fresh greens. Cans of tuna, some nuts and dairy. Grab a green salad when you can or pack some preportioned if possible. Walk a good pace around your vehicle if nothing else or carry a jump rope with you for breaks. Drink your water and rest well when you can!

I have had many desk jobs where I sit at a desk most of the day without much activity. My secret was to get a more active job where so that I can get in my exercise as a work. I don't really like sitting at a desk all day anyway.
I recently got a job as a PCA (personal care assistant) helping people in their homes. I am active the whole time with this jobs. Other active jobs might include waitressing or building homes.
I have a desk job, my desk is also a counter, so I bought a mini stepper, so now I step 5 minutes of every hour and get 40 minutes in by the end of my workday!
