I have used several online mapping tools to calculate my biking and running mileage and to lay out new routes. Most leave me wanting to cuss! The mapping tool on Sparkpeople (on the cardio page) is the easiest one I've used.

I love that feature too. It's motivating to me because I can plot out how far I think I can go on my next walk or bike ride, extend my distances in small increments and have an accurate formula for how far I've gone. Thank you SparkPeople!

Add another comment of someone in agreement. The map feature is very useful whether it be our regular neighborhood walks or an open country hike.

I completely agree. It is so easy to use. Google and Mapquest (along with others) are a challenge and frustrating.

My Biggest Help!
Using the nutrition tracker is by far the best tool I've used to help me in my weight loss success!
The Fitness Tracker is a great tool. You can log how many miles you have gone in a day, a month or a year. You can map out routes around your neighborhood too. It's a useful tool to set a goal with.....for instance you can log enough miles to walk across the United States...652 or who knows......maybe to another country. Whatever you decide to do.....it's a great tool that is right at your fingertips.
