I have a control Journal which came from the fly lady plan. In the journal I keep my budgets, to do list, shopping list, menu plans, and other helpful information. I decorated it with all my favorite motivational quotes and it keeps me going. Decorating it makes it more fun to carry around and all information I need to remain focused and accountable are in it.
Keep track of the Positives instead of the Negatives
Keeping track of the positives in my life keeps me focused on what I do right instead of what I do wrong. That keeps me moving forward instead of backwards. Now, I cut myself some slack and keep a journal of what was positive in my day.It makes me smile just looking at that journal knowing there is nothing negative in it.
Before all I was doing was finding fault with myself and guess what it never motivated me to change. I just felt stuck. Instead I create a problem solving journal for when I get stuck mentally. I write down the issue and try and find ways to change or accept what's bothering me or stressing me out.
