Milk has been the secret ingredient in my weight loss recipe for years. Whenever I add on a few pounds or feel sluggish, I replace a meal with cereal and a big glass of milk. It helps me look and feel slim in a short amount of time.
I had to change how I cooked and ate to maintain my weight loss. Gone are the casseroles and mushroom soup sauces and cheese sauces that drowned my vegetable dishes. I added variety too! No more boring mashed potatoes and gravy and peas!
Try a cubing a white potato, a yam, a carrot, a slice of turnip, chop up some peppers and onion and my SECRET ingredient, chopped apple or pear. The sweetness is so unexpected and good. Serve a variety every night, change the veggie, change the spice. Microwave, roast in oven or cook on BBQ.
