Some friends and family have decided to do the biggest loser. It's a $20.00 buy in. We are all trying to get fit for a show we are doing in January 2011. The competition and support has been helpful. We have a facebook blog where we get to see what people are doing and eating. It seems to be pushing us all. I've eaten better this week than I have all year.

Sometimes loosing weight with someone else and having a friendly competition can be helpful.
MORE INFORMATION:
For myself, I find that if I have a weight loss buddy who likes a little fun, friendly competition, it can go a long way in assisting me to reach my goals. When I want to give, knowing that I am trying to beat someone's weigh in, keeps me motivated and dedicated to the goals I have set.
If you're having trouble getting motivated alone, compete with a friend. Trying to out do someone in a friendly competition will push you to do more than you would on your own. Start here on Spark competing for points! Try kickin' it up a notch with the weekly loser buying lunch. Keep it friendly!
I am addicted to this thing! It's a pedometer on steroids and I am hooked on getting my 10,000 steps a day. It makes me accountable but the best part for me is that you can see how many steps your friends have taken that week and it makes me want to stay in the lead so I will walk further. I park further away, I talk the long route around Target ( a huge hardship, I know). But I love the friendly competition.
