Clean Up

At our house the cook doesn't have to do dishes - unless he/she makes a HUGE mess when cooking. I have found clean up is a lot easier if I run the hot soapy water before I start cooking and wash things up as I go along. Sometimes the only thing left after the meal is the dishes from the table. Makes clean up a lot easier & the added benefit is stuff gets put away right away and no temptation left out for a BLT (bite, lick or taste):)

I'm another one who utilizes this technique. That's one of Mom's tips & tricks I took to heart: clean up as you go along. Not only does the lack of clutter make me feel better while cooking, but I don't feel as tired *after* dinner knowing clean-up is already mostly finished.

i also do the same. it makes for easier cleanup, and once the kitchen is clean, there's no more looking in the fridge for "goodies."

I like to do the same thing! Also, it keeps me from snacking on food while I am cooking. emoticon
