Not storing your credit card info. I've read that we are much more likely to make impulse purchases online if our credit card is stored on the website, and all we have to do is click to buy. If we have to type the info in each time, we're more likely to think through the situation and have a greater chance to realize that this is a passing whim.

Every Sunday night I like to make a list of all the stuff I will eat for the next 7 days by browsing spark receipes and staying within budget I go to the store with an exact list of everything I need, I dont stray from the list which helps me avoid buying unhealthy fooda that I dont need.
Also never go shopping hungry, that way you avoid impulses even more
Avoid impulse buying. Before you purchase something ask yourself if this is something you need or just want. If it is a want than forgo the purchase until a later date to see if you still want it. Search for a coupon and get the cheapest price. Impulse buying adds up.
I will organize my shopping list according to the isles I see first up to the last isle. It makes shopping a lot quicker and you're not wasting time going up & down isles you don't need. It also keeps you focused on only the foods you went there for and prevents you from over spending,
It also prevents you from impulse buying of foods you know you really shouldn't get.
