I feel that the most important part of my diet is.......
Keeping a food journal!!
I started my diet in 2/09 with WW and have lost 33 lbs since then. It may not seem like much, but I can't do much physical exercise due to various arthritic and nerve damage. The food journal is what keeps me going. When I don't track, I don't lose. It makes me aware of what I put in my mouth.
Keeping a food journal. Start out with just writing down what you are eating with no judgements or calorie counting. The journal helps you to become aware of what you are really eating and can give you insight as to why you are eating and when are problem times and foods.
When people want to loose weight they keep a food journal. When strength training you should keep a journal too. Write down all exercises you do, how many reps and sets, and what weight you are using. When you can do 12 to 15 reps increase your weight and add it to your log After a few months you can look back in the log and see your progress I find this very motivating especially on days when I do not feel like lifting weights
