When I start feeling that negativity, I just color my world (figuratively & literally). I wear bright colors, put out bright flowers (either fresh or artificial), open the blinds and let in the light. When I'm really down, I get out the coloring book and crayons. Nothing like coloring a bright picture to move my mood towards positive. If it's a really negative mood, coloring HARD with DARK colors helps get out the aggression and soon I'm looking for a page with flowers and sunshine. 185
We have a halltree that houses coats, mail, etc. and can get overloaded regularly. However, when I bring FRESH cut flowers in a vase,I enjoy displaying them on the halltree [it has a ledge, too!] and so , I clear EVERYTHING OFF in record speed!!! Bringing in THOSE FLOWERS gives me enough MOTIVATION to clean/clear everything out and then I have an ORGANIZED,LOVELY picture of real flowers to look at ~and THAT is SO RELAXING! And seeing THAT ORGANIZED, will inspire me to do OTHER ROOMS!
