Writing in a journal keeps me motivated, especially when I'm depressed or frustrated. I can look back on past days and make better decisions for the problem that I'm faced with for the day.

I have 3 teenage children, so we have a busy house! To keep our schedules straight, I bought a composition book. In the beginning of each week, I paste a family schedule into the book. If things changed, we had to write it in the journal. Anything else we needed to communicate could also go in the journal!

Remember to keep journal in a central location!
I feel that the most important part of my diet is.......
Keeping a food journal!!
MORE INFORMATION:
I started my diet in 2/09 with WW and have lost 33 lbs since then. It may not seem like much, but I can't do much physical exercise due to various arthritic and nerve damage. The food journal is what keeps me going. When I don't track, I don't lose. It makes me aware of what I put in my mouth.
I love to write and anybody who knows me knows I keep many journals. One I keep is called a Humour Journal, another a Blessings Journal and a Happy Journal. They sound similar but are different. When I am feeling down I pick up one of these and flip through my entries and it picks my mood up.
MORE INFORMATION:
Humour Journal is where you write things that make you laugh; Blessings is where you write down ALL you can think of you are blessed with; Happy Journal is a place to write down the thinngs, people etc., that cause happiness. Writing them down preserves the memory & lifts you when you feel down.
