With the holidays approaching quickly, it is more realistic to change your weight goal from wanting to drop some pounds to trying to maintain your weight. The holiday season is the greatest test of portion control ever. Sure there are things that are bad for you and that you should avoid but if you focus on portion control and staying within your daily calorie intake, you will end the holiday season without a huge weight gain! If you keep exercising, you may even find you've lost a couple!

    I disagree with the comment that some things are BAD for you but everything else is so true. Some things I have to avoid because my will power is not strong and I will eat too much, but portion control is is the most important thing! Thanks for the reminder!

    Last year, I quit smoking in October and survived Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years with my weight fluctuated by 3-4 pounds!
