The MITT is a cell phone application that allows you to concentrate on your workouts instead of your watch. It is completely versatile allowing you to set any number of timed intervals you need. You set the delay time, work time, rest time, and number of rounds.
You can download a free trial version to try it before you buy it.
This works great for martial arts / boxing rounds, running, tabata, HIIT, etc.
This application works on most cell phones, but does not work on iPhone or iPods.
I have been using this for weight lifting, running, and TRX intervals. Works great.

I knew I couldn't run far to start. I asked at the running outfitter in my area if there was a tool that would help me walk/run in intervals consistently. This is a WONDERFUL tool. I can set it to walk 1 min/run 2 min or whatever interval I want! Try it out if you need to be "kept honest"! 211
My Gymboss interval timer is my partner in crime. I use it for HIIT (High intensity intrval training) training on the vertical bike. Instead of spending an hour doing cardio, I do my cardio in 20 minutes! This saves time and allows me to focus on my weight training. After 20 minutes of HIIT cardio, I'm dripping wet and burned just as many calories as if I did 1 hour of cardio.
I bought mine off their website for $19.99 plus shipping. It keeps me in tune with my intervals! www.gymboss.com
With running/walking intervals, I create a play list for my ipod specific for that week/interval in the training plan. That way, I don't have to carry my smartphone with a timer on it or buy a watch that's big enough to see while running. I change pace when the music changes. I even include a tune for a cool-down.
