Soup is a blank canvas - capable of leaping across tables and cookbooks in a single bound to rescue you from hunger. A lot of motivational speakers will try to charge up their audience to give "110%" every day, with an image that through motivation you will levitate by your own energy above the crowd. The problem is that when you try to leap above every day, it isn't very long before you are pooped.
I think people who are consistently successful just do a little more each day, just 2% more, but they do it every day for a long time. Eventually it compounds into big results.
