Soup is a blank canvas - capable of leaping across tables and cookbooks in a single bound to rescue you from hunger. To prevent myself from making gallons of cream-based soups, I tell myself that VEGETABLE Soup is a blank canvas. And in thinking about it, it truly is! Chicken soup is vegetable soup with chicken. A lot of motivational speakers will try to charge up their audience to give "110%" every day, with an image that through motivation you will levitate by your own energy above the crowd. The problem is that when you try to leap above every day, it isn't very long before you are pooped.
I think people who are consistently successful just do a little more each day, just 2% more, but they do it every day for a long time. Eventually it compounds into big results.
I've held this theory ever since Officer Training School. It was like a long 12 week race. The folks who finished at the top were often not the 'stars' who might crash back to earth. The folks who put in just a tiny 2% more each long day, they finished the race strong.
There's a saying I used to hear "a moment on the lips = a lifetime on the hips." I don't think just applies to weight loss efforts, but n every area of our lives. Sometimes we get so caught up in the moment, that that 1 decision not only effects us, but so many others. So before you take that
leap, take a moment & ask yourself - how is what I'm about to do going to affect the people around me or the next person I come in contact with R will eating/drinking this really satisfy or take away the feeling(s) that I'm feeling?
