As I start to think about going for my walk or doing my weight routine I'll talk myself out of it or make deals with myself, like after I read one more chapter in my book I'll go for a walk. then I recalled my strategy I used as a teaching with students who would try to get out of doing something: I'd tell them this is non-negotiable. Now I tell myself this is NON-NEGOTIABLE. That seems to stop the debate in my head. I just do my exercise and feel so proud of myself !
