Instead of buying pre-made food, we'll cook and freeze our own to control sodium and calories. For example, when on the BBQ, we'll thrown on extra chicken, then freeze it; great with salad, in chicken pot pie or with pasta. Or we'll cook 5 lbs of lean hamburger with onions and garlic, and freeze it in one-serving packages. My son and his pals will use it for burritos or quesadillas. The possibilities are endless!
