Do you ever have a job that you look at and I'll get it later and later is months or even years later. When you are having company or someone to your house what happens? Do you finally do that project and work yourself to a frazzle? Why do we put off and then panic?

I have this problem myself. It's like I'm living in a warped time zone all my own. Things people get done in hours, days, or weeks take me months or years. I don't know where the time goes. I'm sure all my quirks play into this - ADD, OCD, cluttering, hoarding, procrastinating, perfectionism, etc. My plea is "Stop the world, I want to get ON (as oppossed to off).

I was hoping you had the answer. You described me to a tee. I tidy up for myself but I clean for company. Maybe I don't consider myself important enough to have a pristine house, because the truth is that I like a clean, uncluttered, decorated home. Time to look inward. Thanks for posting this topic.

I also could have written this message. Many people have success with flylady. Lots of good ideas, but for me it was one more thing on my "to do" list. It might work for you!

Schedule an appointment to do a task you've been putting off
MORE INFORMATION:
Instead of cluttering up your mind thinking about something, maybe even beating yourself up for procrastinating, schedule a time to do the task. Mark it on your calendar! Treat it as if you would a doctor's appointment. Prepare and show up!
Results happen one day at a time...then again so do set backs. It's easy to put off to tomorrow (and put off, and put off, etc.). The best thing I have learned is if you think about it today...do it...and then you don't hedge your bets on tomorrow. Also...it's never too late to turn around a bad day. When guilt sets in over that huge ice cream sundae or 2nd (or 3rd) piece of pizza...don't mope about it...walk!
