I can attest that these brownies taste really good. I made the same recipe and gave the brownies to my nieces and nephews. They LOVE them! No Lie!
They also enjoyed helping me prepare it - we have made this recipe together several times now. Here are my recipe instructions (slightly different but using the beans, brownie mix, and a some water).

I drained and rinsed the black beans with water before I put them in the blender. When blending I added a little bit of water around 1/4 cup and blended the beans until smooth.
I put the brownie mix in a separate bowl and added the "black bean mixture". I mixed everything together with a spoon and placed it in a greased pan (with Cooking Spray) and baked for 15-20 minutes at 300 degrees.
