When I recently started my weight loss plan, my doctor recommended adding 1 heaping tbsp of sugar free metamucil to 8 oz of water and drinking it (quickly), 30-60 minutes before each meal. It has really helped me to eat less at my main meals. The SF Lemonade is our favorite!

    Benefiber may be easier to drink, but it doesn't give you all the same benefits of Metamucil (or any psyllium husk product).

--> Metamucil lowers cholesterol / Benefiber does not
--> Metamucil's main ingredient has been recognized by the FDA as having multiple health benefits / Benefiber's main ingredient has not
--> Metamucil costs 20% less per serving than Benefiber

    SF = Sugar Free. My husband can only use metamucil, because it's gluten free. A lot of the other fiber supplements are not. Even the chewable metamucil tablets are not gluten free.

    Honestly Benefiber is better because you don't have to drink it "quickly" since it doesn't thicken up like Metamucil does. Same thing, no thick texture! :-)
